
Dr. Drum graduated from West Virginia University with a BS degree in Animal and Veterinary Science. He then continued to the University of Georgia and obtained his DVM degree. Dr. Drum practiced in small animal medicine in northern Virginia before returning to the University of Georgia to obtain a MS degree in Veterinary Medical Microbiology. He moved to upstate South Carolina in 2005 to work for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture with their department of veterinary diagnostics. After many years working in laboratory diagnostics, Dr Drum has returned to private practice at Landrum Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Drum enjoys preventative medicine and expanding his knowledge of feline medicine.
When not at work, he and his wife share their home with a variety of cats and his wife’s horses.
