Meet Our Veterinarians in Landrum, SC
Dr. Donna Raines
DVM & Administrator
Dr. Raines, a native of South Carolina, completed her undergraduate studies at Winthrop University in 1999. She then continued to the University of Georgia to receive her DVM. Dr. Raines spent the first part of her career working in a large, fast-paced practice in Columbia, SC. In 2008, she moved to Landrum and became the owner of Landrum Veterinary Hospital the following year. Her interests include internal medicine, acupuncture, and reproduction. She is certified in acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society. Her favorite part of practice ownership is watching team members grow to their full potential and find purpose in the veterinary field.
When Dr. Raines is not at the hospital, she can be found spending time with her husband and their two daughters, along with their motley group of Great Danes, rescue pups, cats, and chickens. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and gardening. Her favorite hobby is genealogical research, and she is an active member of the DAR.
Dr. Suzanne Goodner
DVM
Dr. Suzanne is originally from Georgia and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia in 2019. She went on to complete her DVM at UGA in 2024. She is very excited to begin her career at Landrum Veterinary Hospital and continue growing as a veterinarian. Her interests include surgery, parasites, and reproduction.
Outside of veterinary medicine, she loves spending time with her husband and their three rambunctious cats, as well as two reptiles. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and reading.
Dr. Tammy Parker
DVM
Dr. Parker graduated from Clemson University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. She then attended the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, earning her DVM in 1993. Dr. Parker moved to the Metro Atlanta area, where she practiced for 26 years while raising a family. Her two main areas of interest in veterinary medicine have always been exotic animal medicine and general surgery.
Throughout her career, Dr. Parker has worked in full-service practices, served on a state avian monitoring board, provided veterinary care for the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s Raptor Program, owned a clinic, and acted as Medical Director for a high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter nonprofit. She has also written numerous educational articles and personal stories for publication.
Dr. Parker and her family moved back to the area where she grew up to be closer to family and enjoy a slower pace of life. She loves having her grown children visit and caring for her adopted pets. As a favorite quote says, “Life takes you to unexpected places. Love brings you home.”
Dr. Carol Osborne
DVM
Dr. Osborne earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University before building a solo mixed-animal practice in rural southeastern Ohio. She cared for pets, farm animals, horses, and even wildlife and exotics. She has also served for over 14 years in animal disaster preparedness and response at the local, state, and federal levels.
In recent years, she studied at the Chi Institute and became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Herbology. Her interests include the One Health, One Medicine concept and its impact on global and individual well-being. East African wildlife and conservation are dear to her heart, and she enjoys horseback riding and hiking in her spare time.
At Landrum Veterinary Hospital, her focus is on pet wellness beyond the prevention and treatment of disease — supporting animals through every life stage and strengthening the bond between pets and their people.
